Educational Consultation/Advocacy

Has your child just completed Psychological, Psychoeducational, or Neuropsychological assessment and you are wondering what to do next? Are you curious about what the IEP/504 process entails and would like to talk to someone about how to handle this process? Or would you like someone with knowledge and experience to help you navigate some concerns you may have regarding your child’s performance in school?

Throughout his time working in the public school system, Dr. Siddall has helped many families navigate these types of concerns. Through his holistic and collaborative approach, he can help develop a plan and provide information regarding how to navigate both parent- and school-related concerns. At the end of the day, parents want what is best for their children and teachers want what is best for their students. There are many ways that parents and teachers can help students reach their full potential. Dr. Siddall’s consultation services can include:

  • Working with parents and schools to identify informal accommodations to support a student’s learning
  • Consultation with schools and parents to aid in determining whether further evaluations from the school may be warranted in order to explore potential eligibility for Section 504 accommodations
  • Consultation with schools and parents to aid in determining whether further evaluations from the school may be warranted in order to explore potential eligibility for an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)

Dr. Siddall is available to work with families to create a comprehensive plan to help meet a child’s needs both inside and outside of school. He is also able to work with families to help prepare them for meetings at their child’s school or even attend the meetings with a family to help support them as they advocate for their child.
